korean cooking?

does anyone know what is in the chili paste i often encounter in korean hot dishes? i believe it is called gochujang. it is similar to sriracha, but i think there's something sweeter in it. i am thinking specifically of a dish that involves those super-thick rolled up rice noodles, but it's in a lot of things. what can i combine to fudge it at home?
